Search entries
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policy applies to its processing.
Messages
An email or contact-form message is kept as needed to answer it. The message is not shared outside the organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure or a service provider must process it for delivery.
Automatic Technical Data
Routine logs and analytics may collect technical details when a page loads:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring page or site
- Date and time stamps
Cookies
Cookies help measure visits and remember basic preferences. Browser controls can block or remove them. Some site functions or partner tools may then behave differently.
How Data Is Used

Outside Sites and Advertising
Links lead to sheriff and corrections pages, release records, court portals, federal locators, and third-party search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy governs its collection and use. Stevens County Released Inmates does not control those systems.
Advertising partners may use their own cookies or similar technology to measure activity across sites and select ads. That tracking occurs on the partner's systems, subject to the partner's controls and policy.

Personal information is not sold. Limited information may be provided to:
- Search partners that process a submitted query

- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
Service providers receive only the access needed for their role and remain subject to their own legal and contractual duties.
Security Has Limits
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used. No website, network, or stored message can be promised as breach-proof. Users should avoid sending sensitive personal details that are not needed for a simple question.
Adults Only
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the limits of the data held, a user may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held by the site
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete information no longer needed
- Opt out of processing where an opt-out right applies
A request may require enough information to verify identity and locate the relevant message or account. Data sent directly to a sheriff, court, corrections agency, or search provider must be addressed to that organization.
Changes to This Notice
This notice may be revised as services or legal duties change. A new version takes effect when it is posted with its updated effective date.
