Minnesota VINE may help identify a county jail or detention facility, but it is not a booking-photo archive. VINE custody and scheduled-release fields should point the next call to the named reporting agency. For state prison, use the DOC Public Viewer because Minnesota VINE does not connect to DOC prisons.

The screenshot supports a bounded absence finding, not a claim that no image can be produced. The office may maintain public data that it does not post. The correct next step is a specific request for the photograph and the linked booking event.

A receiver may classify, redact, or temporarily withhold parts of a record due to an active investigation, court order, juvenile status, or another applicable rule. Ask for the public portions and the cited legal basis. Do not use adult booking-photo instructions for a juvenile matter, where access rules differ sharply.
Stevens County DOC Release Images
The Minnesota Public Viewer commonly shows front and side images for people committed to the Commissioner of Corrections and still within the locator’s public scope. Search by name or a full six-digit MNDOC ID. Compare birth date, aliases, offense county, court file, and identifier before treating a photo as a match.
A DOC image is not a county booking photograph. It documents state correctional identification and can remain visible while the profile says the person is released under supervision. Current Status should be read before the image. Anticipated Release Date is a forecast, and Expiration Date is the endpoint of DOC authority rather than necessarily the date the person left prison.
A person whose Stevens County case led only to a receiving-jail stay or probation may never appear in the DOC locator. A fully discharged person may also fall outside its public scope. Stevens County Mugshot Access Changes
Minnesota chapter 609A governs expungement. An expungement can seal qualifying records and prohibit disclosure or acknowledgment as the order and statute provide. The most accurate photo record keeps the agency, date, booking identifier, and later disposition together. If the image materially helps identify the right official record, that context protects against mistaken identity and false assumptions. If it adds no real identification value, reproducing it can create harm without improving the release verification.
Confirm Stevens County Release Status
